Women, Politics and Popular Culture: How Far We've Come- Indeed

On Saturday, January 13th, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Ms. June Moberly at the American Association of University Women (AAUW)'s  Breakfast meeting.  June served as the very first Alderwoman of Brookfield.

The topic of the meeting was Women, Politics and Popular Culture: How Far We've Come".  The presentation was made by Dr. Lilly Goren, Professor of Political Science and Director of Honors Program at Carroll University.   Dr. Goren highlighted the changes she has witnessed in working with her political science students as they leave for internships in politics.  How truly exciting it was for me, as a candidate for Alderwoman in Brookfield, to meet June Moberly, a fellow AAUW member at this meeting.  June shared with me some amazing stories of her experience as the first Alderwoman of Brookfield. How truly lucky we are to have women who blazed a path for us today.  Thank you for your service, June.
